Introduction: Creating a Destination Experience
When the team behind The Burger Bar in Cedar Park, TX, set out to build their second location, they knew the AV experience needed to be as bold and inviting as their burgers. From massive screens to crystal-clear sound and a seamless POS network, they wanted it all—done right the first time.
That’s where Benchmark Audiovisual came in.
As Austin’s premier AV design and integration firm, we were engaged from the earliest planning stages to deliver a comprehensive, turnkey AV solution—from concept through grand opening. Spanning nearly 8 months, this project involved enterprise-grade networking, multi-zone audio, a WyreStorm video-over-IP system, and over two dozen large-format Samsung displays—all engineered to elevate customer engagement and simplify staff operation.
Challenges: High-Performance AV in a Fast-Paced Venue
The Burger Bar team had a few key challenges:
Delivering wow-factor video across the entire restaurant—indoors and out
Ensuring uniform, high-fidelity audio coverage across multiple zones
Securing a fast, reliable wired/wireless network for staff, guests, and POS
Designing a system easy enough for non-technical staff to operate with zero stress
Building with future scalability in mind
All of this had to be completed within the constraints of ongoing construction, shifting timelines, and a target opening date.

18x Samsung 85" BE-Series Commercial Displays
4x Samsung 75" BE-Series (Jumbotron-style cluster)

1x SunBrite 65" Display
Paired with WyreStorm NetworkHD 100/200 Series video over IP, these displays are seamlessly controlled and scaled through a centralized matrix.
Audio System
JBL Control Series Pendant and Surface Mounted speakers and subwoofers deployed for full coverage inside and outside
LEA Professional amplifiers offer multi-zone audio with digital signal processing (DSP)
Two LEA wall-mounted touchscreen controllers provide intuitive, staff-friendly operation:
Interior plate: Adjusts interior zone volume and source
Exterior plate: Manages patio zones independently
Network & Control Infrastructure
Full enterprise-grade wired and wireless network with VLANs
Staff / POS / Guest traffic isolated for speed and security
CAT6 structured cabling throughout for AV, POS, and network traffic
High-capacity UPS battery backup ensures uptime during power events
POS & Operational Reliability
Toast POS terminals received isolated network drops to secure sensitive data
Integrated QoS policies for video and control traffic
All equipment centrally housed in a wall-mounted AV rack on a dedicated 30A circuit
